| Oklahoma Painter Creates Digital Art for the Canvas
“I have encouraged many people to get Ulead PhotoImpact - from housewives to professionals. It’s just that versatile,” says artist Linda Daniels.
Although Daniels is a painter, she has found creative ways to utilize the tools in Ulead PhotoImpact to enhance her work. Daniels uses the software to process digital photos, enhance them, and combine parts of them to create a composition to refer to while painting.
Having tried a few other image editing programs, Daniels asserts that they were too difficult to learn, or too limited in their capabilities. She affirms, “Ulead PhotoImpact has a great bunch of tools and is very easy to pick up.”
A recent customer asked Daniels to create a painting that depicted the interaction of a dog with his wild turkeys. Daniels started with a base photo of a dog in a wooded area, which she claims was drab. Using PhotoImpact she cropped off unwanted portions, rotated it to a better angle and enhanced the color and brightness. Adding in some new background images, she then created a space where the wild turkeys would fit in nicely.
People are amazed at what Daniels has been able to accomplish using Ulead Photo Impact, including combining pieces, enhancements and lighting effects.
Daniels says, “They think I’m a wizard, but I think it is Ulead PhotoImpact that has allowed me such latitude to create.”
