Fans of the Sindy doll, a British sister of Barbie, may already be familiar with the art work of Lennart Nygren. Nygren uses PhotoImpact to display Sindy dolls on Web sites like www.club-sindy.com.
"With PhotoImpact I can really bring the dolls to life," exclaims Lennart, who also uses the software to create postcards for Barbie and Sindy fan clubs. Lennart's art shows various Sindy dolls dressed in city clothing and posing in urban settings.
Lennart, who has been using PhotoImpact since version 5, explains, "In the year 2000, I bought PhotoImpact because I needed a tool to create GIF animations. I then discovered how easy it was to work with." His PhotoImpact creations not only include GIF animations, but backgrounds, buttons, and graphic art work as well.
In a standard editing session, Lennart uses the setting 800% or 1200% zoom feature and the brush gallery to remove or add intricate detail to the doll photographs. While he admits that his creations demand patience and a lot of work, he is able to create perfect photos.
Next, using more of Ulead PhotoImpact's extensive tools Nygren cuts out the objects he needs for the pictures, and adjusts the color, light, shadows and transparency to make the pictures realistic. He is then able to merge an original 3D background with the posed doll to create a unique display for each one.
Along with the doll fan club web sites, a museum and a few of his friends are also proud owners of Lennart Nygren originals. He has recently published a book, Happy Birthday PhotoArt, in which the graphics are created and edited with Ulead PhotoImpact.
"PhotoImpact is great software that you can do everything with," summarizes Lennart about his experience using PhotoImpact.
