Visual Artist in Nova Scotia Goes Digital with PhotoImpact 7
PhotoImpact - "It's really a great multi-purpose app."
Although David King is a visual artist who works primarily with paint, canvas and paper, he also creates digital imagery. To make digital artwork, David needed graphics software with a wide selection of tools and features. This is why he chose PhotoImpact.
With PhotoImpact, David can combine the software's paint and editing tools with a multitude of effects to create various types of digital imagery. It's however the program's interface and design which is David's favorite feature. "I think the interface is the software's most impressive feature. By clicking a tool and having the attribute bar change to give options specific to this tool allows very quick use of the program," David says.
PhotoImpact is also an important program for David's auctions on EBay. "I use PhotoImpact extensively for correcting photos of my paintings to be put on EBay. I use PhotoImpact to crop the photos, adjust the colors and then add a wide colored border to the photo for better visual appeal. I can do these things easily and I usually use the batch manager to touch up 18 or more images at once which saves time."
David has also used PhotoImpact to design websites for clients. "I've used PhotoImpact for the visual design of websites I've done for other people or businesses. At the end of the design work, the much-used image slicer is the last stage I do in PhotoImpact before exporting it as an HTML page".
David sums up his experience with PhotoImpact by emphasizing that it's the versatility of the program that makes it so useful. "Even if I do something in some other software the image always ends up in PhotoImpact for some sort of correction or fine tuning. It really is a great multi-purpose application."
