Indiana Audio/Video Producer Wins Over 25 Awards with MediaStudio Pro

Award-winning producer, director, musician, Randy DeFord of Oak Road MultiMedia is a winner of a Telly and an Aegis for his latest dramatic short entitled "GUARDIAN? Growing up listening to music from both Carlos Santana and Chet Atkins, he was originally a musician. He started his career by playing in bands but was eventually disenchanted with not having success with his instrumental works. Since focusing his efforts towards video, Randy has garnered plenty of attention. "When I got into video, it was so much more interesting than just being a musician" says DeFord. "I first did a music video from a song I wrote using a Sony Handicam. I entered it into a competition and won honorable mention -- then I was hooked. " Running his own audio/video production studio, Deford has captured 26 awards in the last 7 years, including bronze and silver Tellys, multiple Aegis and Communicators, Videographers awards, and a Marcom.

Randy credits MediaStudio Pro for opening many avenues for him from creating his first 78-minute movie to creating his Golden Telly winning comedy, "Norma". "It started to happen and wouldn't stop. I have spent hundreds of hours with this editing software and never found anything I couldn't do. I need software that is stable and responds. Every year Randy produces a mock drunk driving accident video for local high schools. The school organizes a day where the students role play a drunk driving accident. They meet with the local police, visit the morgue and even watch as their parents are informed of their mock death. Randy videotapes the all day event and then stays up until the early morning hours to edit the piece into a highly emotional and powerful video to show the next day to the entire high school. To edit the piece, Randy uses MediaStudio Pro to add 350 to 400 clips, transitions, titles, music and effects.
