Award-winning Film Director finds MediaStudio Pro 7 Cuts Above the Rest

Garett Chipman is no stranger to the "cut-throat” business of Hollywood. Chipman plays multiple roles as a Director, Director of Photography, Editor, and Co-founder of Frazier & Chipman Entertainment. As a Director of two award-winning independent films, Chipman recognizes Ulead MediaStudio Pro 7, "a product… way ahead of [its] competitors."

In the past three years, Chipman has become an adept digital video editor, directing and cutting four short films, two promotional films, two commercials, and two trailers in MediaStudio Pro 7. When he showcased a film that was edited in MediaStudio Pro 7, a few of his colleagues and audience members were surprised that the film was not cut on Avid.

"All products have their issues - but out of the box, to make a professional looking, sounding, flexible and broadcast-ready product, you cannot go wrong with MediaStudio Pro," says Chipman.

A couple of Chipman’s films that were cut and edited in MediaStudio Pro 7 received awards and high recognition within the independent film circuit. One Door Down, a short film about a young man’s struggle between paranoia and prophecy was given acclaim from triggerstreet.com (Kevin Spacey’s film festival website), Shriekfest, Creepfest and others. See the trailer at http://www.frazierchipman.com/trailer.htm.

Money Problems is a another short film that Chipman wrote, directed, and edited with MediaStudio Pro but was given only 24 hours to complete. When this film was featured at an independent film festival it placed within the top ten amongst 76 other films that played at the festival.

As an ambitious director and producer, Chipman describes MediaStudio Pro 7 as "easy, useful, and smart" and recommends the software to other editors. Chipman’s creativity and penchant for visual entertainment are reflected through his films. Together with his producing partner, Kelly Frazier, Chipman will continue to direct and produce films that will engage and inspire audiences as well as aspiring filmmakers who want to survive the industry.
