Illinois Teenager Premieres His Skate Video at Local Movie Theater
Chase Gabor is a 17-year old Senior Student at Plainfield High School , and Videographer for Jerics Skate Shop of Joliet and Plainfield, IL.
An avid skateboarder, Chase started making videos of himself and friends skating, and since the results were pretty cool, it led to him being hired by a local skateboarding shop!
Chase says, "My mom has a video business ( www.mpvideoproduction.com) and she has been using Ulead products for years. I just started using her programs and my interest grew. The results have been great. I've been producing quality videos and selling them since I've been 15 years old. I've gotten great results and even better reviews!”
"My first sponsored DVD for the skate shop premiered February 24 th at a local movie theater. We filled the theater and had to turn people away. It was great! Since the premiere I have sold over 100 copies of my DVD. The video can be purchased through Jerics Skate Shop."
Chase was able to purchase an $800 .3x Ultra Fisheye wide-angle lens he's been craving with the profit from the premiere and sales of the DVD.
Chase thinks that the learning curve with MediaStudio Pro is easy whether you are new or a committed editor. “The quality is as good as Adobe or Final Cut Pro - but easier.”
Chase has been editing on MediaStudio Pro 7, and is looking forward to trying out version 8, donated by Ulead. "Ulead products have been great for me. They have helped me begin a career that I only dreamed of -- and I'm only 17! With Ulead products, I have been able to produce a high quality video quicker and easier than any of the other competitors -- and it's much more affordable!
He adds: "My major will be videography in college."
