| Installation/Download |
|
- What are the "Content installer" and Bonus Pack for VideoStudio 10?
- Ulead usually creates separate installer packs for the contents and other bundled programs, to make it easier for users to download and install the main program and use it even if you have not completely downloaded everything.
VideoStudio 10's content pack contains the Help file, DVD menu templates, sample video and audio clips, sample images, etc. The Bonus Pack installer includes extra media clips, and bundled software like Cool3D 3.0, PocketDV Slideshow program, and Intervideo WinDVD 7 player.
Regarding the installation of the bonus clips in VideoStudio 10, you can double-click the self-extracting installer, or manually extract them to your local hard drive. Then run the Setup.exe or autorun.exe file. For the audio, video and image clips, please save them into a folder in your local hard drive, then import them into VS 10's media library.
- I can't seem to find VideoStudio 10’s Help tool – where are the program’s Help files located?
- To access the program's Help utility, please click on the question mark (?) button located in the upper right-hand corner of the program window, and select 'Ulead VideoStudio Help'. Or, simply press F1 while the program is running. If you have the electronic download installer, make sure the VS 10’s Content is already installed on the computer before following this procedure.
- The InterVideo WinDVD 7 from the Bonus Pack installer asks for serial number. Where can I find it?
- The serial number is not necessary when installing the bundled InterVideo WinDVD 7 in UVS 10’s Bonus Pack installer. Instead of directly running the setup.exe in the WinDVD folder, please run Autorun.exe in the Bonus Pack's extracted main directory and select the InterVideo WinDVD 7 option.

| Capturing |
|
- I used to capture video from my Sony MicroMV camcorder in a previous version of VideoStudio. How do I use it in VideoStudio 10?
- VideoStudio 10 doesn't support the MicroMV plug-in. You have to capture the video from MicroMV camera using the old version of VideoStudio and import it into version 10.
- My VideoStudio always captures in DV format from my HD camcorder. What should I do to make the program capture in HDV format?

| Editing/Rendering |
|
- My VS 10 does not have the Mpeg-4 (MP4) encoding/HD support features. Is there a special plug-in for this like for previous version?
- How can I make an "end credit roll" for my movie in VS 10?
- Run VideoStudio, go to Edit stage then import an image clip in the main timeline.
- Select Title tab, input your lines of text in the Preview screen.
- Click the Animation tab in the Options Panel. Check Apply Animation then select Fly option in the drop down options.
- Select the scrolling option that you want for your title and preview the project.
- I received the error “THE SETTING HAS CHANGED FROM DVD NTSC 720*480 - SURROUND TO DVD NTSC 720*480 – STEREO”, when I tried working on a Dolby Surround 5.1 DVD movie.
- I received "color has been changed by a filter, RGB (255.0.0) to RGB (181.0.0)", when selecting the Red for my text title clip. How can I select this color for my text?
- Since you are using an RGB color picker, some RGB values are outside the color gamut (range) of the NTSC/PAL system, which is why it needs to be adjusted. The “Apply Color Filter” option is enabled from the “Preferences” to make sure you do not use colors outside your TV’s color range. You can turn off the filter but please note that some colors may appear to bleed when playing it on your TV. Example of this colors are RED (RGB 255,0,0), GREEN (RGB 0,255,0), and YELLOW (255,255,0). This would be safe if the video clip is for computer viewing only but it would be better to choose another value within the safe color parameters of the TV standards in case you want to render it for TV viewing later on.

| Burning |
|
- I usually share my DVD projects to my friends and relatives but some of the burned DVDs won't play on selected DVD players. What should I do?
- We cannot guarantee full compatibility of your DVD projects with all set-top DVD players. This is a consideration you have to take not only for VideoStudio but for all other DVD authoring software. If you encounter this problem, try using a different brand of blank DVDs (DVD-R if possible). Use the lowest possible burning speed as well. This is a big factor in increasing your DVD project’s compatibility with set-top DVD players. Also, make sure that the stand-alone DVD player supports the media you are trying to play.
