Technical FAQs
Q:
Why do I need to reset the Script Effects after using Auto Slice?
A:

Because most Script Effects are identified by sliced cells, after performing the auto slice function an additional time, the program will warn you against changing the positions of objects on the document in order to maintain the slicing structure. A warning message will be prompted and remove all the Script Effects for you to reset. This helps the program maintain its performance.

Q:
What kind of Script Effects can be used for an Image Map?
A:

You can insert "Popup Menus," "Status Bar Messages," and "Swap Images" as script effects into an image map.

Q:
Why can't I preview SVG files in my browser?
A:

SVG(Scalable Vector Graphics) is still an emerging file format and both Internet Explorer and Netscape do not yet support this format. To view SVG images, you need to install the Adobe SVG viewer 3.0 (included in the UPI 8 CD) or download another SVG viewer as a plug-in for your browser.

Q:
What kind of JPEG 2000 file formats does PhotoImpact 8 support?
