- I have connected my digital still camera to the computer. It is turned on and is switched to PC connection mode. Photo Express 6.0 does still not detect the camera.
- There are several possible reasons for why your camera is not detected:
Hardware: Be sure the camera is connected with the machine properly. If your camera is connected via USB, you should check whether it is installed properly on your computer by going to Control Panel->System-> click "Device Manager" Tab, here you can check if your USB hardware is connect properly. If it shows up with an exclamation mark, you should check the connection and contact hardware manufacture for this.
Device driver: Be sure that the camera driver is installed and configured properly. Download the latest drivers for your device.
Device Power: Be sure that the camera power is on when you start up the computer. Specify the input device from "Select data source" drop-down list, and then click "acquire" to obtain an image. If the problem persists, contact technical support and indicate what device you are trying to use and other related information.
- I'm having difficulties of downloading pictures from my camera.
- Click on "Get Photo" then choose "Digital Camera". On the left side at the "Select Data Source" menu, choose your camera as the source then you should be able to browse the pictures.
- You can also click on the menu "File --> Acquire --> Digital Camera" and do the procedure above.
- If your digital camera is USB device, please connect it to computer, power on the digital camera and switch to the mode for PC connection. Then it will appear as a removable drive icon in the My Computer window.
- Open Photo Express, click File > Open, select removable drive to browse the photos.
