Ulead MediaStudio Pro 7 Service Pack 3 (Release Date: 04/06/05 )

NOTEs:

1. Service pack is for use ONLY with the full version of Ulead® MediaStudio Pro 7.
2. The Service Pack 3 contains all the updates that came with Service Pack 1 (7.01 Update Patch) and Service Pack 2 (Build 7.20.0005 ).  

What's New

• Support Windows Media Audio and Video 9 Series Encode your HDV footage or high quality stills to a variety of HD resolutions, such as 1280 x 720 progressive (720p), 1920 x 1080 interlaced (1080i), or 1920 x 1080 progressive at 23.976 fps (1080Psf).
• 24P Support 24P Standard (2:3 pulldown) and 24P Advanced (2:3:3:2 Pulldown) from Panasonic AG-DVX100 and AG-DVX 100A camcorders. This update provides device control, video capture, video editing and writing back to camcorder.

Issues Addressed

a.		Fix problem with VBR encoding creating higher bitrates than the maximum setting.
b.		Fix problem with some .swf file failing to be imported into VE.
c.		“Light video filter giving incorrect results.
d.		Fix Field Order problem of DV AVI created by Canopus Edius DV codec.
e.		Fix performance issue on .jpg file. When inserting some large size .jpg files on timeline, AP will take a very long time to display the thumbnails on the timeline.
f.		Crashing problem when importing DVD-VR files was fixed.
g.		Fix problem with MPEG Advanced Setting Max/Avg/Min bit rate always being reset to default after user adjustment.
h.		Fix the problem of AP crashing when scrubbing audio with some DX audio filters applied.
i.		Fix problem with Pan & Zoom resulting in incorrect field order.
j.		Bug fix for HDV plug-in 2.0 version:
		Fixed “fail to build graph problem when capturing with Matrox G550 card.
		Fixed out of sync problem when doing long captures with JVC HD camcorder.

Known issues

1. Customized template settings (both in New project and Create Video File dialog boxes) of users will be archived and moved to another folder because the default was updated. If you want to recover customized templates, follow the procedure below:
   

a.		In <MediaStudio Pro 7 installation path>\Backup , open Data.log in Notepad.
b.		Check the path that is written in Data.log.
c.		In the Backup folder, copy prjtmpAVI.dat , prjtmpMPEG.dat and savetemp.dat to the path specified in Data.log. This will overwrite the new files which were installed with SP3 with the customized templates.

2. VST audio plug-in has to be put in the following path to make it work:
   <MediaStudio Pro 7 installation path>\aft_plug\VST

Ulead MediaStudio Pro 7.2 Update Patch (Release Date: 1/21/05)

Bugs fixed:

• Problem with Video Capture crashing when the video has more than 100 scenes was fixed
• Changed Field Order A to Lower Field First and Field Order B to Upper Field First
• Problem of the video flickering at the end of a transition effect was fixed
• ADS Instant DVD II compatibility issue was fixed
• Print to Tape problem was fixed
• Problem with the background color always being black in a slide show was fixed.
• In CG Infinity, the problem of the object color changing when Moving Path is applied was fixed

MediaStudio Pro 7 Service Pack 2 (Release Date: 2004/09/30)

1. Service pack is for use ONLY with the full version of Ulead ® MediaStudio™ Pro 7.
2. Service Pack 2 contains all the updates that came with Service Pack 1 (7.01 Update Patch). Some users have reported issues with installing Service Pack 2 on a machine that already has Service Pack 1 installed. If you should experience any problems, please contact Ulead at Customer Service Queries.

Enhancements:

• Support Ulead VideoStudio 8 project files. SmartSound in VideoStudio 8 project will be converted to silence audio clips
• Add new filters and effect: Pan & Zoom, Duotone and Album transition
• Support Recording Date/Time and display the arrangement. Production Library now supports extracting timecode from videos and audio/images from camcorders or digital cameras. Some camcorders and digital cameras may not record the media with recording date/time when using some specific settings. In this situation, the Production Library will not be able to show Recording Date/Time
• Support VST audio plug-in
• Support Auto Deinterlace. When creating a project using progressive scan and Auto Deinterlace is selected, all video fields will be automatically deinterlaced when creating the video file
• MPEG-2 2-Pass Encoding option was added. 2-Pass Encoding can be only be selected when you create a file; it is not an option for a project template

• Image relink problem for Media Library was fixed
• Auto-Deinterlace is now applied on the video during Create Video File, not during editing
• Scan for Scenes bug was fixed
• Problem with Video Capture only pre-scanning and capturing the first segment of video and ignoring the rest of the DV tape when the DV tape has duplicated timecodes was fixed

Known Issues:

2. When importing a VideoStudio 8 project with SmartSound audio clips, SmartSound audio clips will be ripped. Other audio clips can be imported without problems
