I bought the full version of Menu.Applet but when I post to the web server I still get a Trial User message. Can you explain this? |
|
A: |
Below are listed the possible reasons for this occurring:
- The applet was created using the trial version.
- You changed the applet's code. If you change code that is produced by Menu.Applet, then you will receive the trial message.
Please adjust your applet to accord with the above conditions. |

When I use a large Dialog font size, why is the edge of the text not smooth? |
|
A: |
That is because Dialog font is bitmap font, not true-type font. |
|
|
|
|
Can I use fonts other than Helvetica, Courier, Times Roman and Dialog? |
|
A: |
Java? only supports these 4 fonts currently. If you want your menu to have different look, you might want to try to use images for different menu items.

First make sure the applet you created can work well in your local Browser, you can use the command 'Save as HTML' under the 'File' menu or the 'Save as HTML' button on the tool bar to output your HTML, Java classes , images and all necessary files to a specified temporary folder.
Then submit them to the Web server. Please be sure you have them saved to the same path where you store your Web pages. |

When I try to insert a menu applet with a custom feature in FrontPage 2002 it can’t find the u32cfg.dll and it won't let me install the program. How can I fix this? |
|
A: |
Method A:
Please uninstall all related programs including Front Page 2002 + Menu applet from the Control Panel =>> Add/Remove Programs, then delete all files which are under the C:\Windows\Temp directory. Restart the machine. Once the machine has finished booting, close the virus scan program and then reinstall them via following sequence:
First=>Front Page 2002
Second=>Menu applet 1.0
Last=>Menu Applet update patch (http://www.ulead.com/tech/ma/ma_ftp.htm)
Method B:
1.Click: Start: Run: "regedit".
2.Double click the following folders: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\FrontPage\Editor\Init Commands\
3.Move the cursor to the blank place of the right side and right click the mouse, then point to New\String Value and click it and type "Command2" to replace the default words.
4.Double click this "Command2" to open the "Edit String" dialog box, and then paste the following info in the entry box.
Value data : "2,,1,Insert,Insert Ulead &Menu Applet...,C:\Program Files\Ulead Systems\Ulead Menu.Applet 1.0\umafprun.exe,Video...,0,"Insert a Ulead Menu Applet at the cursor position",1000"
NOTE: You should type the accurate setup path which you will install the Menu.Applet 1.0 in the above input info (For Example, the default path: C:\Program Files\Ulead Systems\Ulead Menu.Applet 1.0\uaafprun.exe) to let system find the Ulead Menu.Applet 1.0.
5.Turn off the "Regedit" program and immediately launch FrontPage 2002. This should allow you to find the Custom menu and Ulead Menu.Applet 1.0. |

|
Why can't I directly update the content of the menu applet using MS FrontPage? |
|
A: |
When you use the menu applet from the custom menu of FrontPage, it will only let you insert a new created applet into the working HTML file, you can not modify it from there. To modify the applet, you have to open its original menu project file (*.uma) from the menu applet program (File > Open), save it (as a *.uma file) again after finishing the modification, then go to File =>> Update HTML. Reselect the previous working HTML file (including the menu applet that needs to be modified) from the destination folder. Press the "Open" button to update it.
Furthermore, to enhance the entire operating efficiency, please copy this file "Umamain-fixupdateHTML.exe" to the folder which you have installed the Menu Applet 1.0 (For Example, the default path: C:\Program Files\Ulead Systems\Ulead Menu.Applet 1.0), find and delete the "Umamain.exe" file, and rename the "Umamain-fixupdateHTML.exe" file as "Umamain.exe".
NOTE: To download this file "Umamain-fixupdateHTML.exe" please click here. |

Is there a way to have a default submenu expanded when the menu loads? |

A: |
Sorry, Ulead Menu.Applet does not support this function. |

|
Why I can't center the slider menu? |
|
A: |
In the current design, the slider menu does not include an "Alignment" feature such as the one which appears in the popup menu. The only way to align text to the center without affecting the sibling items is by pressing the item tab and by using the space bar to move the text to the proper location within the "Caption:" entry box. |
