An Activation Code is the encrypted decoding key (code/ string of characters) purchased by the Licensee from us to enable authorized use of the software.

No. The serial number is used to register your product. You can only activate your product with the Activation Code.

To be able to use the activation code for your product, you need to turn off your firewall and anti-virus software when connected to the Internet. When you are behind a firewall or your anti-virus software has its real-time protection scheme on, you won't be able to use the activation code.

I. Windows XP SP2 (Service Pack 2) Firewall

To turn off the Firewall in Windows XP SP2

1. Click Start > Control Panel > Windows Firewall

2. In the Windows Firewall dialog box, select Off (not recommended)

For your anti-virus software, please consult your anti-virus software's manual on how to disable the real-time protection feature. You need to disable this feature first before you can use the activation code.
