- The reason may be is that you don't have Administrator privileges. When using Microsoft® Windows® 2000 or Windows® XP, the user can only install Ulead DVD Workshop when the user is logged in with Administrator privileges.

- When capturing video using a PC camera with USB connection, why are there dropped frames in the resulting clip?
- It may be caused by the low transfer rate of the USB interface. Closing other running applications can free up memory and may prevent frames being dropped when capturing.

- I want to use my own images for the menu background. What is the recommended size for the image?
- The size of the image should be 768 x 576 pixels.

- Why can't I hear AC-3 audio from the Run-time player?
- The Run-time player does not support AC-3. But you can play the Disc from the stand-alone DVD player.

- I always receive this message "MPEG Audio is not a standard audio type for a NTSC DVD, do you want to continue?" whenever I click the "make disc" button. Why?
- That is because the DVD-Video specification defines the use of different audio encoding methods for PAL/SECAM and NTSC areas. The mandatory audio format of NTSC DVD is either LPCM or Dolby Digital audio. MPEG Audio is just an optional audio format of NTSC DVD. Some older models of DVD players might not play the DVD video which is encoded in the Mpeg-Audio format. If your Mpeg-2 is encoded in the Mpeg-Audio format, please click the "Yes" button and you can continue to make the disc.
- When using Microsoft® Windows® 2000 and Windows® XP, why can't DVD Workshop detect my disc burning drives?
- The reason may be is that you are logged in using a non-administrator account. Some hardware cannot be recognized when using a non-administrator account.I always receive this message "MPEG Audio is not a standard audio type for a NTSC DVD, do you want to continue?" whenever I click the "make disc" button. Why?
- When creating titles using the Make Disc command, why does Ulead DVD Workshop always re-encode my MPEG files?
- DVD Workshop will re-encode the MPEG file when the specified encoding bit rate in Make Disc is lower than the encoding bit rate used by the original file. If you want to retain the original encoding scheme of your file, you must specify a higher encoding bit rate than your original encoding bit rate in Make Disc.
- When I burn DVDs with the 'Do not close disc' option selected, why can't the disc be played in my home DVD player?
- Some DVD players do not recognize and play "open" DVDs.

- Why do I get a "Load Mpeg Vio Driver error" problem?
- If you have the possibility of having Adobe Premiere 6.x and Ulead DVD Workshop installed into the same system, there will be an error reading in the DVD Workshop MPEG VIO. Please install the patch below to fix this problem.

- Can I use the current menu page I'm authoring now in future projects?
- Yes, you can do this by saving it as a template. To save it as a template, right-click the menu page in the Menu List and in the context menu select 'Add to Library.' You can also drag and drop it into the Library directly. Putting it in the Library allows you to use it in future projects.
