DVD MovieFactory 5 Plus Vista Pack (Release Date: 2007/3/21)

When you have downloaded and installed this patch, your copy of Ulead® DVD MovieFactory® will be certified as “Works With Vista™”

• This patch is 114 MB in size and should take about 45 minutes to download.
• The patch will not work on PCs that do not have Windows Vista installed.
• You will be required to sign in (register) before downloading the patch. 

NOTEs:

• Windows Vista and the Windows logo are trademarks or registered trademarks of Microsoft Corporation in the United States and/or other countries
• This Update Pack is for Ulead® DVD MovieFactory® 5 Plus (BOX, ESD, UPG, and activated TBYB) version.
• This Update Pack cannot be uninstalled.
• Since Video for Windows (VFW) is not supported in Vista, VFW codecs such as Indeo, Cinepak are not supported in Vista. The video content files provided by DVD MovieFactory will now be encoded using .WMV instead of Indeo codecs.
• WDM devices are not supported by Vista. Thus, not supported by DVD MovieFactory.
• WinDVD 7, Photo Explorer 8.6 are not supported.

DVD MovieFactory 5.0 Service Pack 1 (Release Date: 2006/08/31)

The DVD MovieFactory 5 Service Pack 1 is divided into three parts.  Download and install each part separately.  The notes below describe the enhancements and fixes included in each part.

DVD MovieFactory Host Update:

• The MovieFactory 5 Launcher now links to the Ulead Blu-ray Disc DiscRecorder (BDDR) module.
• Import (unrendered) VideoStudio 10 project files into MovieFactory projects.
• Support for capture cards from Canopus, Terratec, AverMedia and others*.

• Support for Yamaha LabelFlash for burning labels directly on appropriate discs with compatible burners.
• Optimized for Intel Core 2 Duo and Core 2 Extreme processors for faster transcoding and rendering video to DVD.

Bug Fixes:

• Projects set up in NTSC failed to capture from PAL devices.
• Some capture cards incorrectly split captured files into 4GB segments on NTFS partitions.
• Widescreen (16:9) aspect ratio was not maintained on video imported from Sony DVD camcorders.
• Chapter cues were not imported from MediaStudio Pro 8 project files inserted into MovieFactory projects.
• Some text and customization menu settings were lost after saving and re-loading project files.
• DVD MovieFactory sometimes encountered an error and displayed the message “Some Chapter Entry Frame Numbers Exceed the Total Frames” when joining multiple video clips as part of a Fast Export or rendering task. 
• Some menu setting were reset when loading projects after uninstalling and reinstalling the DVD MovieFactory program under different paths.
• DVD MovieFactory sometimes crashed during the menu or slideshow steps when 3rd party software or codecs were running.

DVD DiscRecorder Update:

• Enhanced preview, playback and storyboard display of DVD-VR files
• Integrate the standard Slideshow UI into DDR Module
• Enhance capture plug-in to support a wider range of industry-standard capture devices

BD DiscRecorder (BDDR) 2.5:

Ulead DVD MovieFactory 5 now includes BD DiscRecorder module allowing you to:

• Capture video from your camcorder and burn it directly to Blu-ray Disc BD-R/RE single or double layer discs.
• Create or append video discs in BDAV format on Blu-ray Disc BD-R/RE single or double layer discs.

DVD MovieFactory 5 Hauppauge/Terratec devices support pack (Release Date: 2006/09/06)

This pack supports :

• Hauppauge PVR150/250/350/USB2
• Terratec Grabster AV250/ AV400
