As an artist, he's produced 14 solo projects with eight of those albums achieving status on Billboard charts. Receiving the first-ever Native American Category Grammy Award in 2001, nominated again in 2002, Spot continues to break new ground in the entertainment industry. He authored the first Native American non-broadcast DVD/music video in 2000, and was the first to connect synthesizers, pop and powwow music with the Native American flute in 1988. You can hear his flute playing in major motion pictures such as The Last Sumarai, Hidalgo, and Finding Nemo.
