1. Capture
 Virtually any HDTV device that connects to your PC can be used for capturing. Capture from HDV camcorders in either 1440x1080i or 1280x720p, or you can capture DVB-T & ATSC HDTV as MPEG-2 video in 1920x1080i or 1280x720p. You can even capture direct-to-disc from your HDV camcorder, for the fastest way to get from tape to disc - all in HD!
2. Edit
Get your video to look exactly how you want it. Neatly trim your video with Multi-trim, using AccuCut to zoom in to the frame-level for accurate cutting. In that way, you don't have to subject your viewers to long pieces of shaky video. Add transition effects or text titles to your HD video, and auto-enhance your HD video to fix problems with brightness and contrast. And finally, add your own background music and mix the levels with the original audio, for a professional-sounding video.
- Captured your favorite TV show to burning on to disc? Ad-Zapper scans your video and shows you where the commercials are so you can remove them.
- During editing, Ulead software works natively with the HDV format, creating proxies where necessary for faster performance, but always that pristine High Definition quality.
- PureHD also takes advantage of Ulead's SmartRender technology, which ensures that only modified segments of your footage will be rendered. This not only preserves the video quality, but also saves time.

3. Author
Author HD DVD Discs with professional-looking menus. Select from a great range of 16:9 menu templates and customize exactly to your taste. The sets of backgrounds, layout styles and button sets give you over 2 million possible combinations! Rotate and reposition menu text and preview thumbnails exactly as you like, and round off your menu with cool menu transitions, effects filters, and overlays. Another innovation for better-looking menus is SmartScene menus, which have just one preview window that changes content as you roll over the text buttons.
4. Burn
 Burn your high definition video onto disc. Whether you invest in HD DVD technology, we support them both. But if you do not yet have a HD DVD burner, you can "burn" your HD productions to your hard drive, and play them back on your PC - a great solution for MediaCenter PCs!
5. Play
WinDVD 7 is a versatile software player which will play HD content, (MPEG-2 HD/WMV-HD), right from your computer.
