Adding Subtitles to your VideoStudio Projects

There are various ways, applications and formats that will help you create subtitles for your captured videos. VideoStudio offers an easy way of subtitling your movies.

This tutorial shows you how to make use of VideoStudio's Title Step for your subtitles.

Step 1: Creating Title cards in the Title Step

Before you start creating text or Title cards for your project, it is recommended that you have written down all the dialogues delivered in your video clips. This will make the process of creating the Title cards a lot faster.

Drag all video clips to be used to the Timeline. For this tutorial, we will only have one video clip as our example.

In this video, there are three speaking lines delivered by our subjects onscreen or the bikers.

A. Man 1: We're going uphill now
B. Man 2: Ready Chief!
C. Man 1: Show 'em what we've got boys!

First, we need to create Title cards in Title Step. Since there are three speaking lines in our video we will also create three Title cards.

In the Title Step, double-click the Preview Window and enter Dialogue A. Since we will save this in subtitle format later on, we need not pay attention to the attributes of the text.

Now that we have Title card A ready, we can start creating a new folder in the Library Manager where we can put all our Title cards together.

Open the Library Manager and create Subtitles folder under Title category.

You can start saving Title card A in this folder by opening Subtitles folder in the Library and then dragging Title card A from the Timeline to Subtitles.

Let's continue creating Title card B and Title card C.
