Applying the Enhance Lighting video filter

Enhance Lighting is a video filter for exposure control in underexposed and overexposed footage. Using this allows you to customize your clip's fill light or shadows.

To apply the Enhance Lighting filter:

  1. In the Timeline, select a clip on which the filter will be applied.
  2. Click the Attribute Tab in the Edit Step Options Panel.
  3. Choose Enhance Lighting from the Video Filter folder in the Library to apply to your clip.

  4. Drag and drop the video filter onto your clip in the Video Track.
  5. In the Attribute Tab , click Customize Filter to improve the lighting on the underexposed or overexposed clip.

  6. Drag the Fill Flash slider or enter a value to adjust the image brightness. The higher the value, the brighter the image becomes.
  7. Adjust Enhance Shadows to intensify the dark portions of the image or amplify contrast.

  8. Click OK.
