JavaScript Rollovers

Smart Saver Pro 3.0 contains several enhancements to its JavaScript functionality:

Distance Rollovers : In Smart Saver Pro 2.0, you could only create Rollover images in the same location as the original image, such as in this example:

However, Smart Saver Pro 3.0 allows you to create distance rollovers, which means that the image that triggers the event (for example, the image that the mouse passes over) can cause a separate image to change. I used distance rollovers when creating the following sample interface. Passing the mouse over any of the text images causes the image in the center of the interface to change.

This enhancement allows you to use Smart Saver Pro 3.0 to create anything from simple JavaScript Rollovers to complex Web interfaces, all from within the familiar Smart Saver environment.

New Events: You can now use Smart Saver to create Rollovers in response to a total of four mouse events: Mouse Over, Mouse Down, Mouse Click (Mouse Up), and Mouse Out.

Audio Rollovers: You now now use Smart Saver's JavaScript events to trigger WAV, MIDI, and even MP3 audio files, and even use combinations of traditional Rollovers, Distant Rollovers, and Audio Rollovers, all at the same time. This is an exceptional addition to Smart Saver, since normally an expensive and complex editor such as FrontPage or Dreamweaver would be required to create this kind of effect.
