Batch Processing: Smart Saver's batch processing features have also been updated. The most noticeable enhancement is something that users have been requesting for a long time: A renaming feature. You can now append anything you'd like (such as "_new" or ".optimized") to the beginning or the end of a filename. You can also use the "options" button to tell Smart Saver to add to the file name the name of the optimization preset you used, or even the complete details of the optimization method (such as compression level and subsampling method).
Optimize Entire Webs Site via The Internet: You can also use Smart Saver's improved batch processing to optimize all of the images referenced in an HTML file, even if the file has already been posted to the Web. By using this feature, you can optimize entire Web sites, either before you upload them, or even after they've been uploaded. To access this feature, click File --> Optimize Images from HTML. A dialog box opens allowing you to enter the name of an HTML file on your hard drive or a Web Site.
You can then use Smart Saver's new "Auto detect and optimize" feature to automatically select the best optimization preset for your image. You can also create sliced images and resample images from within Batch Processing mode.
