Turning your Photo into an Impressionist Painting
Frame your Artwork
Step One:
Many of the Classic Frame styles provided by PhotoImpact are quite wide and may cover up much of your image, so if you want most of your image to be visible, you must add space around the image in order to fit the frame. To do this, press [Ctrl + A] to select the entire image, then press [Ctrl + Shift + O] to convert it to an object. Next, select Adjust: Expand Canvas. In the dialog box that appears, first click the Expand sides equally option, then enter a value for the number of pixels by which the canvas should be enlarged. Click OK, and the canvas expands while the image remains centered.
NOTE: If you plan to use one of the Photo Frame (2D) or Photo Frame (3D) styles, you may want to skip the procedure above and simply use the entire image as is.

Step Two:
We are now ready to add a Classic Frame to your artwork. First, select Photo: Photo Frame. In the dialog box that appears, go to the Frame tab, and make sure that the Frame option is selected. In the Style menu, select Classic Frame, then click one of the preset frames. On the right of the dialog box, you will see a preview of your image displayed with the chosen frame. Click OK once you have selected the frame most appropriate for your image. In the workspace, you will now see your masterpiece with a frame around it.
