The Camera Memory Card Detector is a small program that is installed with Photo Explorer, and it is by default launched and enabled in the system tray of the Windows Taskbar. It can detect a digital camera/card reader connection or the insertion of a memory card. All types of memory cards, such as the CF card, SD card, memory stick, etc. that follow the DCF (Design rule for Camera File system) standard can automatically be recognized by Camera Memory Card Detector.

To enable Camera Memory Card Detector to detect your digital camera or card reader, make sure there is a memory card in it. Then plug your digital camera/card reader to the USB port on your computer and power it on. Camera Memory Card Detector automatically launches Photo Explorer, which then opens the Digital Camera Wizard or displays thumbnails of your photos in the Browse Pane, depending on your Preferences setting.
Note: You can temporarily disable or close Camera Memory Card Detector by right-clicking its icon in the system tray and selecting an option from the pop-up menu. |
