Creating masks for your transition effects

Video projects usually consists of different video clips and adding a transition between clips not only ensures a smooth flow, but also makes your video look professional. There are plenty of ready-to-use masks in PhotoImpact that you can use as transition effects or you can use your own image as the mask transition effect.

  1. From EasyPalette, double-click or drag a selected mask or image to the workspace. Save the file in BMP format.

  2. In MediaStudio Pro, select Transition Effect in Production Library and then select Mask from the list. Click MaskC-Mask from the effects thumbnails. Drag the effect to the Timeline, between the video clips.

  3. Double-click the transition effect on the timeline to edit its attributes. Click Options to open the Mask dialog box.

  4. Click the thumbnail under Current. Browse for the mask image created in PhotoImpact and then click OK. To view your video, click Play.
