PhotoImpact’s animated special effects let you turn still images into fantastic videos. Apply animation effects such as Lighting and Particle effects from the EasyPalette and make your images come to life.

1. Open the image where you want to apply the animation effect. In the EasyPalette’s Animation Gallery, drag an effect.
   
   
2. A dialog box appears where you can specify the animation settings.
   
   

   

   
   After specifying the settings, save the animation as a sequence of images.
   
   Tips:
   • For DV projects, start with images that are DV size: 720 x 480 for NTSC and 720 x 576 for PAL.
   • For a 3 second clip, create 90 frames for NTSC or 75 for PAL.
     
     
3. Click Save to open the Save As dialog box and then select Sequence BMP Files (*.BMP) in Save as type.
   
   Tips:
   • For easy reference, create a new folder to save the image sequence.
   • Be sure you have enough free space because image sequences can be large, especially if you want to create a long clip. Each NTSC frame is about 1MB.
     
     

     

     
     
   After saving, notice that a series of BMP files are created. To import them as an animation clip into MediaStudio Pro, you have to import it as a UIS file.
