Using the ATI Radeon display board with MediaStudio Pro 7

The ATI Radeon display boards with Theater Mode offer MediaStudio Pro 7 users the ability to use one display for showing the editing interface while using a second NTSC or PAL monitor to display full-screen, full-resolution, real-time video from any preview window within MediaStudio Pro. The S-Video cable can also be sent to a tape deck to record in real-time directly from the MediaStudio Pro timeline without rendering (pending project complexity and PC system performance).

Other generations of ATI display boards with Theater Mode also offer full-screen display on a second monitor from within MediaStudio Pro 7.

To send video out to an NTSC or PAL monitor from MediaStudio Pro 7, the graphic card display drivers must first be set.

  1. Make sure to first hook up your NTSC or PAL monitor correctly and then turn on your computer before attempting to configure the display drivers.

  1. Right-click on the desktop and choose Properties / Settings / Advanced.
  1. Navigate to the Displays tab and depress the red On button for the TV.
  1. Enter the Overlay tab and check the Theater Mode box at the bottom of the dialog.
