Using the Matrox Parhelia display board with MediaStudio Pro 7

The Matrox Parhelia display board offers MediaStudio Pro 7 users the ability to use a dual display setup for showing the editing interface as well as a third NTSC or PAL monitor to display full-screen, full-resolution, real-time video from any preview window within MediaStudio Pro. The S-Video cable can also be sent to a tape deck to record in real-time directly from the MediaStudio Pro timeline without rendering (pending project complexity and PC system performance).

The flexibility of the Matrox Parhelia drivers gives advanced control over how video is handled on all displays.

Other Matrox display boards with PureVideo/DVDMax such as the G550 and G450 also offer full-screen display on a second monitor from within MediaStudio Pro 7.

To send video out to an NTSC or PAL monitor from MediaStudio Pro 7, the graphic card display drivers must first be set.

  1. Make sure to first hook up your NTSC or PAL monitor correctly and then turn on your computer before attempting to configure the display drivers.

  1. Right-click on the desktop and choose Properties / Settings / Advanced.
  1. Navigate to the PowerDesk tab and select the Matrox PowerDesk-HF button.
