| Recording back to a DV device from the Timeline |
MediaStudio Pro allows you to record back to a DV device from the Timeline. This means that you can export the contents of your Timeline directly to a tape using the appropriate output device. In this tutorial, we'll use a DV camcorder. |
To record back to a DV device from the Timeline: |
- Click File: Project Settings - Edit to open the Project Options dialog box.
- Select the type of compression you'd like to use from the Compression drop-down list in the AVI tab.
- Specify the type of data track from the drop-down list under the General tab. If it's just a sound track, select the Audio Only option. If it's all video, select the Video Only option. If it's a combination of both, select the Video and Audio option.
- Specify the frame type, the frame size, and the display aspect ratio (whether it be 4:3 or 16:9) in the General tab.
- Specify the TV standard and the number of overlay tracks in the Video Editor tab.
- Set the options according to your preferences (e.g., set the audio format to DV Audio-NTSC/PAL in the Audio Format dropdown list in the AVI tab, etc.) then click OK.
- Click OK to close the Project Settings dialog box.
