Creating Background Paper

Finding the perfect colorful, decorative paper to use for a background or image frame is not always easy. Fortunately, Ulead Photo Express - My Scrapbook Edition includes all the tools you need to create your own backgrounds.

This tutorial will show you how to create unique background for your scrapbook page.

Creating a new blank template

Let's start by creating a blank page. As the Background tool is only available in Project mode, we will create a blank template.

1. Select File > New > New Template.

2. In the New Template dialog box that appears, select a layout type (either Portrait or Landscape). For this tutorial, we selected Portrait.

3. Select a standard paper size from the Standard drop down menu. We selected Letter.

4. Click OK.

The new blank page opens in the workspace and automatically switches to Project mode.
