How to Create Video for Your Apple iPod

VideoStudio 9

You must have the VideoStudio 9 MPEG-4 Plug in and iPod Packs installed before you start with the procedure.

  • Go to the Edit step then select File: Insert Media File to Timeline - Insert Video to import your video file.
  • Go to the Share step then click Create Video File - MPEG-4 iPod.



  • Save the MPEG-4 video file into an easily accessible folder.
  • Use iTunes to upload the video file to your iPod.

Video Toolbox 2

  1. Click Convert to open the Video Batch Convert dialog box.
  2. Click Add to import the videos that you want to convert. Choose *.MP 4 in the Save as type column.


  3. Click Option and change the options to the following settings:
    General tab:

    Frame size 320x240
    Frame rate 30 frames/second


    Compression tab:
Video data rate 500 kbps
Audio frequency under 48000 Hz
Audio bit rate under 160 kbps

  • Save the MPEG-4 video file into an easily accessible folder.
  • Use iTunes to upload the video file to your iPod.

MediaStudio Pro 8

You must have the MediaStudio Pro 8 MPEG-4 Plug in and iPod Packs installed before you start with the procedure.

  • Select File: Convert - Batch convert .
  • Click Add to import the videos that you want to convert and choose *.MP 4 in the Save as type column.


  • Click Template and choose iPod then save the MPEG-4 video file into an easily accessible folder.
  • Use iTunes to upload the video file to your iPod.

How to Create Video for Sony PSP™

VideoStudio 9

You must have the VideoStudio 9 MPEG-4 Plug in installed before you start with the procedure.

  • Go to the Edit step then click File: Insert Media File to Timeline - Insert Video to import your video file.
  • Go to the Share step and click Create Video File - MPEG-4 PSP.


  • Save the MPEG-4 video file into an easily accessible folder.
  • Locate your memory stick using Windows Explorer and open it. Check if there is a folder named MP_ROOT . If the folder does not exist, create it then in that folder create a folder named 100MNV01 . This makes the path to the video folder on your PSP as E:\\MP_ROOT\100MNV01 (where E is the PSP drive letter).
  • Copy your MPEG-4 video files into the 100MNV01 folder. Save both .mp4 and .THM files into this folder.

NOTEs :

  • Keep the file names in the MV4XXXXX.mp4 (where XXXXX is any 5-digit number) format. You can use any 5-digit number.
  • The .THM file is a thumbnail image of your video. It is not necessary for playback but is needed to view the video thumbnail on your PSP.

  • Go to the Edit step then select File: Insert Media File to Timeline - Insert Video to import your video file.
  • Go to the Share step and click Create Video File: WMV Smartphone/WMV Pocket PC.

  • Save the WMV video file into an easily accessible folder.
  • Use ActiveSync to upload the video file to your Smartphone or Win CE device.

Video Toolbox 2

  • Select Convert: Video Batch Convert .
  • Click Add to import the videos that you want to convert and choose *.WMV in the Save as type column.


  • Click Option and choose Pocket PC in the profile column.


  • Save the WMV video file into an easily accessible folder.
  • Use ActiveSync to upload the video file to your Smartphone or Win CE device.

  • Go to the Edit step then select File: Insert Media File to Timeline - Insert Video to import your video file.
  • Then go to the Share step, click the Create Video File – MPEG-4 Mobile or 3GP.


  • Save the MPEG-4 or 3GP video file into an easily accessible folder.
  • Use IrDA, Bluetooth, or the memory card to upload the video file to your mobile phone.

  • Different mobile phone models have different video playback capabilities; we cannot guarantee that your mobile phone will be able to play back the video that you created using our software.
