Using the Color Palette
Part 1 Modifying the Color Palette
The selected cells are replaced with the gradient fill and the colors of the current frame are modified.

NOTE: To prevent colors from being edited, select them and click Lock Color . Click this icon again to unlock. To remove all locks and change the colors back to the original, click Remove Locks and Edited Colors.
Adding and deleting colors
If your palette has less than 256 colors, you can add new colors to it by clicking Add Color to Palette . Select one of the color pickers from the pop-up menu to select the color you want to add.

NOTE: When using a palette which already has 256 colors, the added color replaces its nearest match on the palette. |
To remove colors from the palette, simply select the color or colors and click Delete Color.
Sorting colors
You can sort colors using several categories by clicking Sort Palette Colors and selecting a category from the menu.

Part 2 Saving and Reusing the Color Palette
Saving the Color Palette as a *PAL palette file allows you to reuse it in other projects.
To save the Color Palette:
- Click
Save Palette File . This opens the Save Palette File dialog box.
- Browse for a location and enter a file name.
- Click Save .
To reuse an existing palette:
- Open another sample project, switch to Optimized mode and open the Color Palette.
- Click
Load Palette from File in the Color Palette . The Load Color Table dialog box is displayed.
- Locate the *pal file you previously saved and click Open.

All the colors in the palette file are then applied to the current project. |
