Creating your own Animated Emoticons - Thumping Heart Emoticon
Want to impress your friends on Instant Chat? Create your own custom emoticons using PhotoImpact and GIF Animator. This tutorial will show you how to create your own animated icons to use in chat programs like MSN Instant Messenger.
In PhotoImpact
Step 1: Open PhotoImpact and select an object from the Path Library in the EasyPalette. Here we selected a heart object.
Step 2: Go to the Adjust Menu and Select Resize (CTRL-G). In the dialog box, choose Apply to: Image & Object(s). Then resize your image to 30 x 27 pixels.
Step 3: Now you have a small icon. Click on File/Save As. Select JPG as the file format, select a name for the file and save it to a folder on your computer.
