Creating a Banner Advertisement

Using Add Banner Text

You've seen advertisements in the form of banners on most Web sites. And you want to make one just like that?plus some animated text in it. Sure, that can be arranged.

In this tutorial, you will learn how to create an animated banner ad using the Add Banner Text feature. As an example, let us put some images on the banner ad and then add three sets of text, each having a different type of animated effect.

1. First, we need to start creating the images for our banner ad. I used Ulead PhotoImpact to create six images:

2. In GIF Animator, open a new animation project by selecting File: New. Set the canvas size to 480x60 pixels, the standard size for horizontal banners.

3. Let's import the images we created. Select File>Add Image, select all the image files (select them while holding the Ctrl key down), then click Open.

4. Insert new frames and display one image per frame. (If necessary, duplicate frames to display the images all over again.)

NOTE: To display an image, make sure that the Eye icon for that image is selected in the Object Manager Panel.
