Creating highlight images for menu buttons using PhotoImpact

Use PhotoImpact to create a custom highlight image that you can apply to your menu buttons.

Select File: New - New Image. For the size of the image, use a size that has an aspect ratio of 4:3 (e.g. 400 x 300 pixels).

Use PhotoImpact's tools to create your highlight image. Use one-color to create the highlight image. The color you use will not reflect the actual color of the highlight image when it is used in your menu. The actual color of the highlight image will depend on the Color Mapping settings you set in DVD Workshop.

Select File: Save. Save the image as a UFO file.

You have just created a highlight image that you can use for your DVD Workshop menu. To use this highlight image, load the highlight image into the DVD Workshop Library. In DVD Workshop, go to the Menu Step then in the Library, select Highlight Image - General in the Library list. Click Load Highlight Image File and in the Load Highlight Image File dialog box, locate the file then click Open.
