Creating frames for your menu buttons and objects using PhotoImpact
Use PhotoImpact to create a custom frame or use an existing frame in PhotoImpact's EasyPalette for your menu buttons and objects.
Using existing frames in the EasyPalette
Select File: New - New Image. For the size of the image, use a size that has an aspect ratio of 4:3 (e.g. 400 x 300 pixels).
Open the EasyPalette by clicking in the Panel Manager.
In the EasyPalette, select Galleries: Frame Gallery. Click "+" to open the available galleries.
Select a 2D&3D or Classic frame from the Frame Gallery then drag it to the new image.
Depending on the type of frame, change it to an image object or merge it as a single object. If you chose a 2D&3D frame, select Object: Convert Object Type - From Text/Path to Image. If you chose a classic frame, select Object: Merge as Single Object.
Open the Layer Manager by clicking in the Panel Manager.
In the Layer Manager, select the frame object then change the object name, by clicking it, to Frame.
Use the Path Tool to create a 2D path object that is smaller than the frame. This path object is the area where the video/image thumbnail will be placed.
