The ability to easily apply subtitles to DVD opens up a whole range of opportunities for video professionals. Many producers are still not aware of the powerful subtitling that the DVD standard supports. DVD Workshop 2 allows you to create up to 32 subtitle tracks for alternate languages, instructions, and creative messaging.
To create subtitles on your video or slideshow you’ll need to go to the Edit step:

In the Edit step, click on the Subtitle tab, and then click Add/Edit Subtitles.
Start
Select the Subtitle tab in the Options Panel (upper-left corner). Then click on the "Add/Edit Subtitles" icon to open the Subtitle Editor.
Add text directly on the screen, or type directly onto the Subtitle Track.

This opens up the Add/Edit Subtitles window. The interface and process are both pretty straightforward.
Add Subtitle Text
First use the control panel to find the point in your video/slideshow where you want to start adding subtitles. Then simply click on the screen and start typing in your text (you can also type directly onto the subtitle track underneath the Preview screen). You can control how long you want the text onscreen by entering the time in the Subtitle track, or by simply dragging the Jog Bar to the correct position.
In the Text color and transparency panel you can edit and apply custom attributes, borders, backgrounds and screen positions to your text. Simply repeat the process of adding text until you’re finished.
Now that you’ve added your subtitles, Workshop 2 gives you features to put them to full use. |
