Using Audio & Effect

Customize various settings of your slideshow by using Audio & Effect. In Audio & Effect, you can add and trim your audio, customize pan and zoom and motion filter settings, apply different transition effects between photos and more. To open the Audio & Effect dialog box, click Audio & Effect in the Slideshow tab in the Theme step.

Step 1: Adding and trimming background music

To add background music, select the folder where the background audio clip is located in the folder tree. Select the audio clip you want to add to your slideshow in the Browse Pane then click Add Background Audio.

Tips:
  • You can also drag the audio clip onto the sound track to add it. To add background audio starting at a certain photo in the slideshow, drag and drop the file onto the desired photo in the photo list.
  • To add an audio clip from a CD audio, simply locate the file and select. Drag the selected audio clip onto the desired photo in the photo list. This adds your desired background music to your slideshow without ripping the audio clip.
  • You can add more audio clips to your slideshow. To add an audio clip before an audio clip, simply select your audio clip and, drag and drop to the area of the storyboard before the initial audio clip is located. To add another audio clip after an audio clip, simply select your audio clip and, drag and drop to the area of the storyboard after the previously added clip.
    Tip: To play the audio clip repeatedly when the audio duration is shorter than the slideshow duration, select Loop audio.
    If you need to trim your audio clip, select the clip in the storyboard then click to open the Preview & Trim Audio dialog box. Drag the Jog Slider to where you want to start the audio clip, click . Drag the Jog Slider again to where you want to end the audio clip and click . Click to play the segment then click OK.


    Tip: Click Fade-in or Fade-out to make the audio of your slideshow fade smoothly from one audio clip to the next.
