DVD
MovieFactory allows you to create DVDs with the enhanced quality of Dolby Digital
5.1 audio. The 5.1-channel surround sound format has five independent channels
(front center, front left, front right, surround left, surround right) plus a
sixth channel for low frequency effects (LFE), usually a subwoofer.
In
this tutorial, you will learn how to set project properties to enable DVD output
with Dolby Digital® 5.1 surround sound.
To create a DVD with
Dolby Digital® 5.1 audio:
1. Create a new project or open an existing
one. Click Project Settings.

2.
The Project Settings dialog box opens. Click Change MPEG Settings and select Customize.

3.
In the Video Save Options dialog box, select the Compression tab.

4.
Under Audio settings, select Dolby Digital audio in Audio format.
5.
Select 5/2 (L,R,C,S) in Audio type.
6. Click OK to confirm your settings and close the Video Save Options dialog
box.
