Shrink Your DVD Content to the Desired File Size

Looking to burn a dual layer DVD (8.5 GB) to a single layer DVD (4.7 GB)? Ulead DVD MovieFactory Disc Creator's DVD Tweak and Fit feature makes it easy to reduce the size of DVD-Video to fit on smaller capacity discs.

Open DVD MovieFactory Disc Creator. When the Launch Screen of DVD MovieFactory loads, click Copy or Fit Disc.

Launch Screen

You are then given 5 choices, choose DVD Tweak and Fit to fit a double-layer DVD onto a single-layer DVD.

Once the DVD Tweak & Fit Screen appears, choose the Source drive (a DVD-Video disc or a DVD-Video folder), and your burning Destination.

Tween & fit

As soon as your source drive has been selected, DVD MovieFactory will automatically load your DVD into the program. The source disc must be unencrypted. (Without CSS protection)

After you have selected your drives, select Fit to size then click the drop-down arrow to choose your DVD type from the drop-down menu that appears.

DVD Type Drop down menu

NOTE: The DVD Output Ratio is automatically adjusted for you, but you can also manually adjust the Output Ratio by clearing Fit to size which will allow you to adjust the compression ratio sliders. As you adjust the sliders, you should notice a change in the blue status bar at the bottom of the screen.

If you see a red bar at the bottom of the screen, it means your target size exceeds the disc capacity. In this case, you can either tweak the output ratios.

Or you can clear Entire disc and deselect some of the titles, audio tracks or angles.

You are now ready to burn your DVD. To burn, just click Burn at the lower-right hand corner. You are now done tweaking & fitting your DVD.
