| Copy
VHS or DV tape to DVD with Direct to Disc |
The Direct To Disc feature of
Ulead DVD MovieFactory allows
you to copy the video contents of your VHS tapes (or other analog
source) or DV tape and burn them directly on DVDs without having
to worry about quality loss. This way, they can be stored more
easily and they’re sure to last longer. Also, you can
create menus and chapters for quick access to certain portions
of your video. |
- Connect your VCR to the analog capture card.
If you will we be copying from a DV tape, connect your DV
camcorder to the computer through a FireWire card.
- Use an RCA cable if your VCR has Composite Video output
or an S-Video cable if the VCR has S-Video output. Check
your device’s manual if the audio input has to be
connected to the sound card. Before you begin capturing,
make sure that your VCR/DV camcorder and burner are properly
connected to the computer.
- Insert the tape into your VCR or DV camcorder and turn
it ON.
- Click Direct To Disc in
the DVD MovieFactory launcher. Make sure that there is already
a DVD inside the burner.

|
- In the Direct To Disc
dialog box, select DVD as
the Output disc format and
then click OK.

|
- Select a DVD recording format
and then click OK to open
the Direct to Disc workspace.

|
NOTE: Refer to the Options for
Output section of your Ulead DVD MovieFactory
