Key Frames
Step 3: Animating "ULEAD"
The First Movement
Before we begin to animate, we have to know how many frames we are going to use. For this example, we will use 15 (Type 15 in the Frames field).
This consists of two key frames:
- ULEAD coming toward us.
- ULEAD moving off of the screen.
Coming toward us:
- Select ULEAD from the Select an Object field.
- Type 3 in the Current Frame field. This is the frame that represents THE END of the action.
- Click the Add Key Frame button. (A diamond should appear on the timeline where this action will end.)
- Select the Move Object tool.
- Right click the mouse and drag the ULEAD toward you. Do this until ULEAD "fills the document window."
This is what it should look like when you press play:

Moving out of the picture:
- Select ULEAD from the Select an Object field.
- Type 5 in the Current Frame field.
- Click the Add Key Frame button.
- Select the Move Object tool.
- Left click the mouse and drag the ULEAD to the left. Do this until ULEAD disappears from the document window.
This is what it should look like when you press play:
