In a perfect world, our computers would run flawlessly every time we turned them on, and every program within them would integrate seamlessly with other applications. Instead, we are forced to find solutions to work around some of those small problems that plague us.
With the invention of many different creative fonts, we have found that sometimes they just don’t convert correctly or look quite like we want them to. We have discovered an easy way to work around this in Ulead COOL 3D Production Studio.
For example, we typed in the text, The Reef, as seen below, in a font called Memory. As you can see, this font did not translate perfectly. Let’s work through a quick, step-by-step process to achieve the look we want.

- Before we begin the steps to correct the font, please verify spelling, placement of text, groupings, etc. Once you have laid your text out exactly as you want it to be, you are ready to go.
- Click on the Object drop down menu and select the last choice, Convert to Graphics
Ulead Cool 3D Production Studio will ask you if you want to continue in changing this into a graphic object. When you click OK the Path Editor will appear with an outline of our text inside.
- Here you can do some further editing of your text using the Adjust tool, however, we will assume that the text looks just the way we want it to, and click OK. A warning may appear, depending on the complexity of the font, telling you that it may take awhile to render due to excessive nodes. Click OK if you are ready.

And, voila, we have a perfect rendering of our once “problem” font.
