Procedures and Approximate Times for Completion
- The teacher will show/discuss videos, read
stories, or use other print or electronic media to raise student’s
awareness of the various vertebrate groups in the animal kingdom.
(2-3 hours)
- The students will be divided into teams of
2 and pick their vertebrate group. (30 minutes)
- Student teams will use Internet, print and
electronic media resources to gather pictures and information
about their vertebrate group. (2-3 hours)
- Student teams will write a storyboard/script
for their presentation. (2 hours)
- Students on each team will incorporate their
pictures, and storyboard/script into a Ulead DVD PictureShow™
2 presentation, and author it onto a VCD or DVD. (4 hours)
- Student teams will present their finished lesson
to the class and then discuss with the class any comments from
other students. (15-20 minutes).
