VideoStudio provides a clear path to burning DVDs, straight from your Digital Camera and Video Camera, without the help of creative professionals. DVDs are an excellent way to differentiate yourself from your competitors with visually stimulating content. DVDs are also compatible with most commercial DVD Players and PCs. This tutorial demonstrates how to use video and photos in a personal way to increase interest in your message.

TIP: Right-click on the video clip in the Video Gallery to automatically split the video clip into smaller clips based on when recording was started and stopped with your video camera

Use the Gallery in the upper-right corner to select from various kinds of media used in your video project

Edit Video via Storyboard

  1. Click on the Edit button to activate Edit Setup. Drag video clips from the Video Gallery to the Storyboard View.

  2. Use the Mark-in and Mark-out buttons to trim the beginning and end of the video clips using the Trim Bar.

  3. Select the Color Gallery from the upper-right corner. Drag the black color to the Storyboard, once at the beginning of the Storyboard and once at the end of the Storyboard. This puts black "leaders" on either end of your video.

Insert black leaders to begin and end your video clip in Storyboard View; also drag over video clips from the Video Gallery

  4. Select the Image Gallery from the upper-right corner. Drag photos to the Video Track. To find a photo from your hard drive, click on the Load Image icon to browse. To animate your still photos, select the Pan & Zoom radio button. Select from a number of easy presets. This cool effect was made famous by Ken Burns, who used this technique to give video-like motion to still images.
