Preparing Photos for E-mail

Enhancing Photos with Auto-fix

  1. Select one photo thumbnail in the Browse Pane, or hold down the CTRL key while selecting a group of photos to enhance.

    Level

     

    Apply overall highlight and shadow enhancements

    Color

     

    Fix discoloration problems, returning to original colors

    Adjust

     

    Fix exposure problems with overly dark and light areas

    Contrast

     

    Adjust midtone levels to produce more vivid pictures


  2. Click on the Auto-fix button in the Browser Toolbar. Select one of the automatic enhancements from the list. In the Auto-fix Multiple Images dialog, select whether to save over the original or create a new photo.

    TIP: For more control over photo enhancements, click on the Adjust Image button in the Browser Toolbar.

Sending Photos to E-mail the Easy Way

  1. In the Browse Pane, hold down the CTRL key while selecting a group of photos you want to send directly to an e-mail message.

  2. Right-click on any of the selected photos. From the pop-up menu, select Send to Mail Recipient. You may be asked to specify for the first time an e-mail program to use.
  3. From the Send by Mail dialog, select Smart Send to let Photo Explorer optimize your photos automatically for your e-mail message. Select other options for more control over image size and file size.
  4. Click on the OK button to send your images to a new e-mail message.
